Adrian Alexander is an advocate against modern slavery, forced labour, child labour and human trafficking. He served on a Cabinet appointed Multi-Sectoral Task Force in Trinidad and Tobago to develop a National Policy against Trafficking in Persons in 2010 and on the National Task Force Against Trafficking in Persons Working Group that developed the country’s current National Plan of Action (2021 to 2025).
Adrian serves as the Caribbean Regional Coordinator for Free the Slaves. As a consultant with Free the Slaves, he contributed to the convening of the Freedom from Slavery Caribbean Regional Forums in Trinidad (2023) and Jamaica (2024), and to the birth of the Caribbean Coalition Against Trafficking In Persons (CCATIP) which was launched on 31 July 2024.
